Jamye Shelton Pelosi, PsyD

Clinical Psychologist

Dr. Jamye Shelton Pelosi is a licensed clinical psychologist. She attended the Clinical Psychology Psy.D. program at the Rutgers Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, with concentrations in sport psychology and community psychology. Prior to pursuing her doctoral degree, she earned a Master’s in Athletic Counseling in Springfield College’s Counseling Psychology program. Dr. Pelosi’s doctoral internship in Clinical Psychology at Rutgers University’s Counseling, ADAP, and Psychiatry Services, is where she received training in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), group therapy, mindfulness based stress reduction and meditation, and experience providing Habit Reversal Training for trichotillomania (hair-pulling) and excoriation (skin picking).

Dr. Pelosi’s interests and background include sport and performance psychology, Habit Reversal Training, CBT for treating anxiety and depression, university adjunct teaching, and academic coaching. She values collaboratively working with clients via support and skills for helping increase life enjoyment and satisfaction. Her work utilizes integration of clinical and performance psychology to address the needs of individuals pursuing health and being their best.

Dr. Pelosi was a gymnast for 13 years; competed at a Division I school, and now enjoys cooking, yoga, and hiking.
