Machela Singer is a Licensed Master Social Worker working with children, teens and adults. Machela practices from a multidimensional perspective using a variety of treatment strategies including Self Psychology, Dialectic Behavior Therapy, EMDR and Play Therapy.
Machela firmly believes in the power of the therapeutic relationship and provides a safe, non-judgmental space for clients to learn more about themselves and their relationships and to learn skills to help them incorporate the changes they would like to accomplish. She focuses on the client’s strengths; fostering resilience and empowering the client towards self-actualization.
Machela has treated individuals suffering from anxiety, depression, executive functioning deficits and relationship difficulties. She has worked with people from a variety of cultures and understands the importance of practicing in a culturally competent manner.
Machela has had training in DBT, EMDR and Grief & Bereavement.
