What is Sport and Performance Counseling and Coaching?
Sport and Performance Counseling is really all about managing pressure and managing stress. You’re performing. You’re performing at work, you’re performing as an athlete, or you’re performing at home. Everyone is under stress. Everyone is trying to perform at their best. The way that we manage that stress impacts how we perform.
Stress is painted as a bad thing in our culture. However, in reality, stress is actually really helpful for performance as long as you know how to manage it.
One of the other really great things about Sport and Performance Counseling and Coaching is that it’s helpful for everyone. A lot of times when we think about therapy, we think about addressing problems that people have. Sport and Performance Counseling is really a proactive approach.
How good can we really get? How far can we excel? What is the maximum of our potential?
